Wistful remembrances of abandoned mining towns. Mournful interpretations crumbling fantasy worlds. Haunting and violent portrayals of the American West. Townes Van Zandt lived in all of these worlds with his lyrics and songs. In an effort to explore and reinterpret the work and themes of one of the most celebrated American song writers, JR Goldberg has partnered with artist Chloe Cumming and designers Dave Cox, riley rethal and Joe DeSimone to create six completely self contained games, all of which can be played over the course of an evening. Each piece tackles a separate song, meaningful in some way to the designer.
